Tawny: Cold Sweat [Ritmo Fatale] 2026

Tawny is the project of Randolph & Mortimer and Andi that reaches beyond dance music and into its own neon-soaked fantasy. Their Night Eyes EP sits perfectly between a b-movie erotic thriller soundtrack and Madonna’s hypnotic Erotica era—it yearns, it craves, it always finds pleasure.

“Cold Sweat” is a downtempo romp that first propels the EP into blissful oblivion. Just as an engine revs, Andi’s vocals purr: In my dream, in my cold, cold sweat… you’re right there beside me, how can I forget?
Like a Lynchian love sequence, “Night Eyes”’ heavy hammer kick and lustful saxophone feels surreal, but wildly tangible at the same time. It is a story of ultimate yearning in the dark with pastel satin sheets, the cool stickiness of the night’s heat, a smoky haze, and the city’s glowing skyline. “Sadistic” deviates into grimy territory with its 90s breakbeat rhythms, running flute interludes, and housey piano stabs. The lyrics, simple but potent, demand complete attention from both her victim and the listener. I want your hands… your hands on my body.

Night Eyes’ remixes bring the club element to the EP. The proggy daydream heaven of Close Proximity’s remix, with its pulsating bassline, transforms “Sadistic” into heated ecstasy. Lavion’s remix of “Night Eyes” induced the track into emotive trance, a psychological roller coaster of highs and lows.

From video vixens to the covers of straight to video VHS, Night Eyes is an ode to a ravenous hunger that refuses to subside.
